about our program
Here at PS 290, we believe in success, education and community. The Maspeth Town Hall After School Program at PS 290 provides children with a variety of programs, clubs and activities while also ensuring that homework is completed before departure. With more than an hour of our program time dedicated to studies, students have more than enough time and assistance to get all of their work done. After a light snack, and homework is complete, children participate in various activities including Sports Clubs, Chess, Creative Writing and much more.

BECOME An after school counselor
A great way to support MTH is to become an after school counselor for our After School Program! Youth Workers, Group Leaders, and Instructors earn between $18-$22 per hour. Interact with students while collaboratively working with supervisors and peers to enrich their educational experiences and make a difference in the community!
